Refund policy

If the item you order doesn't meet your expectations for any reason, I have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused and in its original packaging. Please ensure the item is as well wrapped as when you received it! Until the item is returned to me, I can take no responsibility for broken items, I cannot refund you if the item arrives back to me broken because it's been poorly wrapped. It must reach me in resalable condition. When I ship my items I imagine them being thrown down some stairs and being stood on by an adult - yes shipping companies pay no attention to 'fragile' stickers and treat parcels with very little care. 

To start a return, you can contact me at jess@dottir.studio. The cost of returns are yours unless an item is faulty. Items sent back to me without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact me immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that I can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
Custom products/commissioned pieces are non-refundable. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, I cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
Exchanges
If there is a piece available that you want to make an exchange for, drop me an email and I'll put it aside for you until I've received your return.
Refunds
I will notify you once I’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
Shipping Refunds
With my pieces all being one-of-a-kind sometimes the weight differs on certain items, so my shipping calculator can overcharge you a small amount. If this happens, when I wrap your order and print the shipping labels, I will refund you whatever you were overcharged. I pride myself on being as transparent as possible with shipping rates, I only charge what it costs for the carrier to get your parcel to you. So if you have small refund from me after your dispatch email, this is why. 
Polite Notice
All my work is handmade, by me, from start to finish. I am not a machine, so there will be a certain amount of wonkiness, wobbles and imperfections. This is what adds to the charm of handmade products, they’re one-of-a-kind and not mass produced by a factory but by a human artist - me. If you like your items to be perfectly straight and perfect, please consider this before you buy my work.
I do my best to photograph each piece to give you the best impression of what it looks like.
My measurements are approximate and plant, props and jewellery are not included.
